Sigurgeir Sigurjónsson was born in Reykjavík in 1948. He studied photography in the years 1965-1969 and then attended Christer School of Photography. Strömholm in Stockholm 1970-1971 and in San Diego, California, 1980-1981.
Sigurgeir Sigurjónsson is one of Iceland's most famous and respected photographers with many books behind him, such as Lost in Iceland, Iceland Small World and Planet Iceland. He and his wife, Helga Gísladóttir, have been traveling around Iceland for many years and taking photographs.
